The Essential Oil of Petit Grain Bigarade is THE reference for overcoming stress. It contains a large majority of esters and monoterpene alcohols, calming and relaxing molecules, which give it spasmolytic and anxiolytic properties and promote sleep. Among other things, stress causes hyperexcitability. This is linked to a too low level of dopamine (neurotransmitter). The linalool will calm the stress by increasing this rate of dopamine. In a state of stress, the muscles (smooth and striated) tend to contract more, which provokes the balls in the stomach and the state of agitation. The linalyl acetate has a spasmolytic action which will relax the muscles thus calming the stress.
The state of stress usually results in increased heart rate and blood pressure. The Complete Ylang Ylang essential oil is very interesting in the synergy for its hypotensive and antiarrhythmic property. It will, thanks to the action of sesquiterpenes, decrease blood pressure and heart rate to calm the symptoms of stress, such as shortness of breath for example.
Moreover, the presence of sesquiterpenes but also esters, reinforces the spasmolytic action calming of the essential oil of Petit Grain Bigarade.
When we are stressed, we often have a stomach ache. The Lemongrass essential oil is used here for its digestive tonic action that will promote digestion by stimulating the various functions of the digestive system. In addition, the citrals present in large quantities (60 to 86%) will help dilate the blood vessels (contracted in a state of stress) thus leading to better blood circulation and thus a reduction in blood pressure.
Moreover, citrals have a spasmolytic and calming action which will reinforce this property in the synergy.
The Fine Lavender essential oil perfectly complements the action of other essential oils with relaxing properties. In fact, it is known to be the most soothing of the Lavender essential oils. It will act on the body by limiting muscle spasms and relaxing muscles. It acts on the nervous system in order to limit excitability and to make forget all the worries. It relaxes the whole of the muscles: the linalol inhibits the tremors and the acetate of linalyl has a relaxing action on the muscles.
The Bergamot essential oil without Bergapten is ideal in the quest for relaxation and well-being. Indeed, the molecules present in this oil will facilitate muscle relaxation, decrease blood pressure and act on the nervous system to promote well-being. This citrus fruit will bring a fresh note to the bath to make it even more pleasant.
The essential oil of Marjoram is an excellent tranquilizer with calming and de-stressing properties. Its composition rich in terpinen-4-ol and sabinene acts on muscle contraction to calm pain and release it. This essential oil will also relieve painful joints.
To allow the essential oils to act and penetrate as well as possible under the layers of the epidermis, Apricot Kernel Vegetable Oil is paramount in a massage oil. Nourishing, it strengthens the protective hydrolipidic film covering the surface of the epidermis and nourishes tired skin without leaving a greasy film on its surface. It is also ideal for firming, revitalizing and toning the skin.
The Borage Plant Oil brings its plus in the massage recipe as it helps regulate the nervous system to calm any anxiety. It also restores elasticity, suppleness, vitality and tone to the skin and thus fights against tissue aging. All these properties make the massage all the more pleasant for the skin and its maintenance.
