If there's one essential oil to choose for treating allergic skin reactions, it's Matricaria Chamomile Essential Oil! Composed of two molecules known for their antihistamine activity: chamaluzene and alpha bisabolol, this essential oil provides very powerful anti-allergic properties. These two molecules will act by inhibiting the synthesis of leukotrienes (molecules released during allergic inflammation) and by stopping the release of histamine, a molecule of the immune system, responsible for the inflammatory pain felt during the allergic reaction.
These two mechanisms of chamaluzene and alpha bisabolol are also linked to the anti-inflammatory action of the essential oil of Chamomile Matricaria. The red plates and the small buttons appeared will thus be resorbed.
The True Lavender essential oil will initially calm the redness and itching caused by the allergic reaction. It is the linalool which will bring this antipruritic action. The linalol intervenes by the intermediary of the opioid receptors (located in the brain) charged to transmit the information "pain" by the sensory fibres. It is by inhibiting this transmission that it will produce the expected cutaneous analgesic action, and put at profit in these cases of irritations and itchings.
In a second time, the linalool present in this essential oil will come to reinforce the anti-inflammatory action of the essential oil of Camomile Matricaria, by acting on the inhibition of prostaglandins of type II (molecules produced during the inflammation).
The Calendula Oily Macerate is one of the most widely used to treat sensitive, irritated or inflamed skin and mucous membranes. It strengthens the natural protection of the epidermis, regenerates tissues and prevents skin dryness. Its composition in faradiol, confers its anti-inflammatory virtues necessary to the relief of prurits and urticaria for example. It is thus the ideal vegetable oil to say goodbye to all your rheumatic inflammations and itchings.
