Fight against skin fungus with essential oils

Fungi, we prefer them on the plate rather than on the skin. Fungus is a very common skin disease. There are different types, depending on the microscopic fungus responsible. In case of infection, red, oozing patches, itching and scaling may appear due to the disruption of the skin balance caused by these microorganisms. To put an end to these fungi, the skin mycosis synergy will group together 4 essential oils which will make only one pan thanks to their antifungal, anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Why these essential oils?

Tea Tree for its versatility

The Tea Tree is known and recognized for its antiseptic properties! Thanks to the presence of terpinen-4-ol, a monoterpene alcohol, it will give this synergy its broad-spectrum antifungal power to fight fungal infections.

In addition, it has a pool of properties that will be welcome to boost you and eliminate those nasty fungi once and for all. Immunostimulant, it will boost the production of immunoglobulin A to support your body in the fight against germs. Anti-inflammatory, it will relieve the redness and heat that comes from infection. And finally healing, it will allow to find clear skin after the battle! In short, it will obviously be the best ally in this battle.

The Noble Laurel to fight against fungi

Because a fungal infection can be very difficult to eliminate, Noble Laurel essential oil is a welcome guest in this synergy. It potentiates the antifungal power of Tea Tree by providing new molecules that are particularly effective against many Candida, responsible for various mycoses. 1,8-cineole, linalool, eugenol, alpha pinene and beta pinene will come to the rescue of terpinene-4-ol to eliminate any recalcitrant fungus.

Moreover, this essential oil will stimulate the immune system for an action always reinforced in this fierce fight. Finally, it has analgesic properties to support the anti-inflammatory effect of Tea Tree and to calm the pain sometimes felt during this type of infection.

Rose Geranium to fight against inflammation

To relieve a fungal infection, we must first and foremost eliminate the germs responsible, but we must also take care of the damaged skin, that all-too-often abused barrier. At this level, rose geranium essential oil comes to the rescue. Thanks to monoterpene aldehydes and esters, it will calm the inflammation caused by fungus and thus soothe the skin. As for the monoterpene alcohols, they will bring their healing power to leave no trace of the passage of these nasty squatters.

And since an essential oil is very versatile, and its molecules as well, Geranium Rosat and its monoterpene alcohols will support the first two oils in their action against germs by bringing their antifungal property. A new skin, a new life!

Palmarosa to regain a healthy skin

When the skin barrier is damaged, you can see it right away in the state of your dry skin. In order to regain a baby's skin, we must first and foremost regulate sebum, the oily layer that helps create protection. And in this very case, Palmarosa is the king! Thanks to its sebum-regulating properties provided by geraniol, it will participate in the skin's regeneration process to quickly forget the woes caused by a fungal infection.

And since geraniol is versatile and is present in high concentrations in Palmarosa, it will also reinforce the antifungal power of the other essential oils! Well done the gege!

True Lavender regenerates skin tissue

The fungi responsible for mycosis damage skin tissue and can leave traces. To limit these effects as much as possible, a healing and skin regenerating component was essential in our synergy. The choice fell on the essential oil of True Lavender which acts through its high concentration of linalool, a monoterpene alcohol. This molecule allows it to increase cellular repair by stimulating the synthesis of epidermal cells, the keratinocytes.

In addition, by keeping the environment free of germs and inhibiting tissue inflammation, it promotes the healing process. In addition, linalool is also antifungal and analgesic. This essential oil will thus reinforce the synergy to kill the fungi responsible for mycoses and relieve the pains which result from it.

The anti-inflammatory action of Lemon Eucalyptus

Any foreign body in the body triggers an immune reaction. Fungi responsible for fungal infections are no exception and cause an inflammatory reaction characterized by feelings of heat and redness. Citronellal present in large majority in Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil is a very good anti-inflammatory. It will modulate this immune response and therefore reduce the consequences.

Moreover, it is effective against the mushrooms by fighting against their development. The addition to the mixture of this essential oil composed of another family of molecules potentiates the antifungal property of the synergy. The mycoses will not have any more chance vis-a-vis these 4 essential oils.

Why these vegetable oils?

Neem vegetable oil

To allow for safe use without the risk of skin irritation, the essential oils in this synergy should be diluted in a vegetable oil before applying to the fungus. The Neem Plant Oil is one of the most suitable because it adds its own antifungal properties to this synergy, which are very useful in helping the essential oils fight fungal infection. In addition, Neem oil as a vegetable oil, is rich in fatty acids which promotes skin regeneration, to allow the skin damaged by fungus to repair itself more easily.

The vegetable oil of Nigella

The Nigella Vegetable Oil is also an appropriate oil to fight fungus as it is known for its anti-infectious properties. In the same way as Neem oil, Nigella promotes skin regeneration, nourishes and soothes irritated and injured skin.
