Why these essential oils?

The decongestant action of Eucalyptus Radiata

The Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil contains up to 80% 1,8-cineole. This is a molecule with a variety of properties, all of which are of great interest here.

First of all, 1,8-cineole is strongly anti-infectious, and coupled with alpha terpineol (also present in this essential oil), its antiviral power is remarkable. Moreover, it has anti-inflammatory virtues targeted on the respiratory tree, which will relieve the inflammation caused by the infection.

Last but not least, thanks to the 1,8-cineole, the essential oil of Eucalyptus Radiata is extremely mucolytic and expectorant: it will promote the liquefaction of mucus and its expulsion from the respiratory tract. This property is important, since mucus is produced in excess during nasopharyngeal infection and is responsible for many of the typical symptoms of a cold (blocked nose, runny nose, cough, etc.). The 1,8-cineole, by stimulating the ciliated cells of the respiratory mucosa, will thus contribute to evacuate this excess mucus.

Field Mint reduces pain

The Field Mint essential oil brings unique components to this blend.

Firstly, the analgesic action of menthol which it has in majority will make it possible to relieve the pains related to the rhinopharyngitis. But above all, menthol is a vasoconstrictor: it opposes the dilation of blood vessels. During the infection, the blood capillaries dilate and contribute, with the excess of mucus, to the swelling of the nasal mucosa sometimes responsible for the sensation of blocked nose. Menthol will therefore help to limit this.

In addition, this essential oil is an effective decongestant because it provides a feeling of freshness that will unblock the nose and because a ketone it contains (menthone) is known for its fluidifying action on mucus. All these properties make Field Mint indispensable to this synergy.

The Balsam Fir regulates the secretion of mucus

The Balsam Fir Essential Oil lives up to its name very well, it is indeed a true balm for the respiratory tract. Its terpene-rich composition is the reason: this category of molecules provides a real soothing of respiratory mucous membranes irritated by infection, coughing, blowing the nose, etc.

In addition to its major balsamic property, this essential oil has alpha pinene regulating the hypersecretion of mucus. It comes in complement of the decongestant action of the 1,8-cineole of the Eucalyptus Radiata and menthol and menthone of the Mint of Fields. These three essential oils associated will allow an effective and fast release of the obstructed respiratory tracts.

And that's not all: once your nose has been unblocked by this synergy, you will be able to discover the good "Christmas" smell given off by the essential oil of Balsam Fir!

The antiviral action of Thyme with Linalol

The cold being a disease caused by a virus, this synergy must have components with powerful antiviral properties. This is the case of the essential oil of Eucalyptus Radiata with 1,8-cineole. But for an even more effective action, it is important to bring other antiviral molecules. That's why the Linalool Thyme Essential Oil takes part in this synergy. The linalool that it has for 40% of its composition belongs to the category of alcohols, well known for their antiviral effects but milder than other antivirals not suitable for children.

Moreover, linalool is also characterized by a certain anesthetic action which can only be beneficial to the child suffering sometimes from head or throat pain during rhinopharyngitis.

Tea Tree stimulates immunity

In babies, the immune system is far from fully developed and the body's defenses are much weaker than in adults. The Tea Tree Essential Oil has terpinen-4-ol whose action on the immune system is therefore, here, welcome. This alcohol will increase the baby's defenses by stimulating the activity of white blood cells. The production of antibodies will be notably favored and will allow a more effective fight against the viruses.

On the other hand, Tea Tree is an essential oil with balsamic virtues because of its terpene content. These molecules will act as a balm by being deposited on the walls of the respiratory tract to soothe and limit the irritation caused by coughing. The baby will thus be relieved and its defenses increased to get rid as fast as possible of this nasty cold!

Why these dilution oils?

The vegetable oil of Nigella

When colds or nasopharyngitis attack, we often find ourselves with difficulty breathing. The Nigella Vegetable Oil has a bronchodilator action that allows you to regain your breath, thanks to the nigellone contained in this oil. In addition, Nigella oil is penetrating, which allows the essential oils to easily and quickly pass through the skin barrier, to act as quickly as possible and relieve you!

Hazelnut vegetable oil

The Hazelnut Vegetable Oil is a very gentle oil, which perfectly matches the fragility of children's skin. Thanks to its penetrating texture, Hazelnut oil allows the active principles of essential oils to pass easily through the body, to act quickly against colds and relieve your child. It will also leave the skin very soft and reinforce the cutaneous barrier.
