Why these essential oils?

Roman Chamomile soothes spasms

The Roman Chamomile essential oil is the calming component of the blend, making it particularly effective in cases of nervous asthma. It also has a relaxing action on the muscles (spasmolytic action), limiting their involuntary contraction. That makes it possible to slacken the smooth muscles of the bronchi and to breathe more easily.

These interesting properties result from the specific composition of the essential oil of Roman Chamomile: it contains monoterpene esters in great quantity (up to 76% of its composition). Acting through neuromediators such as acetylcholine, these esters are known for their relaxing and spasmolytic properties.

Lemon Eucalyptus fights inflammation

Citronellal is a monoterpene aldehyde with remarkable anti-inflammatory and spasmolytic activity. Due to its high percentage of citronellal (65 to 82% of the total composition), Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil is known for its general anti-inflammatory properties. It modulates the immune response and inhibits the enzymes involved in a chain of reactions responsible for inflammation (metabolism of arachidonic acid), thus limiting the extent of the latter.

The essential oil of Lemon Eucalyptus is thus completely recommended when one knows that the origin of the asthma attack is an inflammation of the bronchi. As the Roman camomile, it is also present in the mixture for its capacity to fight against the involuntary muscular spasms.

The Red Myrtle thins the mucus

The Red Myrtle essential oil provides the necessary expectorant and mucolytic properties to the blend. It will indeed help clear excess mucus and thus help clear the airways. This is due to its alpha pinene and 1,8-cineole content, molecules known for their decongestant action. The 1,8-cineole is also and especially an anti-inflammatory specific of the respiratory tree and seems to have a relaxing action on the tracheal muscle.

The essential oil of Red Myrtle will thus have an essential action to stop the process of triggering the asthma attack.

Khella dilates the bronchi

Khella essential oil has a potent bronchodilator property due to its specific ester content (isoamyl methylbutyrate and amyl isobutyrate).

It has its place in this synergy to fight the asthma attack because it will help to increase the diameter of the bronchial tubes, and thus support the clearing of the respiratory tracts.

Why this vegetable oil?

The vegetable oil of Nigella

The vegetable oil of Nigella has amazing properties: the nigellone it contains makes it a bronchodilator oil, which complements the effect of the essential oil of Khella. Thus, Nigella relieves asthma attacks. Moreover, this oil has immunostimulant properties, which enable you to avoid the cold or other bronchitis, benign diseases but which are more difficult to live for the asthmatic people! The Nigella will thus increase the natural defenses of the organization.
