Hydrolat of Atlas Cedar: benefits and uses in cosmetics and natural health

Cedar is a symbol of strength and power, due to the majesty of the tree and the rot-proof character of its wood. In aromatherapy, it is this same wood that is distilled. The hydrolat as well as the essential oil have properties on venous and lymphatic circulation. Who can use it?

Atlas Cedar hydrosol contains a ketone, atlantone, which does not have the high toxicity of ketones in general, but as a precautionary measure it is best not to use it for pregnant and nursing women as well as for children under 6 years of age.

Main properties

  • circulatory : Atlas Cedar acts on both venous and lymphatic circulation. It has a decongestant action to fight against circulatory disorders. It is a gentle arterial activator.
  • astringent : the hydrosol of Cedar of Atlas acts effectively against itching of the skin or scalp, thanks to its astringent action that will tighten the tissues.
  • capillary tonic : cleansing and astringent, the hydrosol of Atlas Cedar is known to fight against various disorders of the scalp.
  • neurotonic : on the psycho-emotional level, the hydrosol of Atlas Cedar would help people lacking motivation, confidence and self-esteem. It would help to assert themselves.

In case of Oily hair, Hair loss

From 6 years old. By cutaneous way, mix 50 mL of hydrosol to 50 mL of water. Use as a conditioner lotion, or spray twice a day. Gently massage into the scalp.

Use in synergy

For adults and teenagers. By skin, apply this mixture twice a week to wet hair, as a conditioner, then massage. Spray, every morning on dry hair.

  • 100 mL Rosemary hydrosol

In case of Cellulite

  • Orally, dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons of hydrosol in 1 L of water to drink during the day.
  • By skin, soak compresses with hydrosol and apply to affected areas.

  • 1 teaspoon of Cedar hydrolate
